- Boil the penne in a slightly salted water for 10-11minutes.
- Drain and, if you want, add a little butter or 1-2 tbs. olive oil.
- In the meantime heat the tomato sauce over low heat.
- Add the ready pasta together with half a cup of its water and stir over a high heat for 1 min.
- For true Italian taste you could add a knob of butter, grate some parmesan and stir.
- Serve immediately with the basil leaves on top.
